Removing the Power-Adapter Port

Prerequisites
1Remove the base cover. See "Removing the Base Cover" on page 10.
2Disconnect the power-light board cable from the system board. See "Removing the
Power-Light Board" on page 12.
3Remove the battery. See "Removing the Battery" on page 14.
Procedure
1Remove the wireless-card cables and the touchscreen cable from the routing guide
on the display hinge.
2Disconnect the power-adapter port cable from the system board.
3Release the power-adapter port cable from the routing guides on the fan.
4Remove the screw that secures the power-adapter port to the palm-rest assembly.
5Gently lift the power adapter port and ease the power-adapter port cable
from under the wireless-card cables.
