Setting the iPod Assignment

It is possible to assign the Control Dock for iPod’s (ASD-1R, sold separately) audio and video signals to any input terminals on the AVR- 587 and play them.

Setting the EXT. IN Subwoofer Level

Sets the playback level of the analog signal that was input to the EXT. IN subwoofer terminal.

Setting the Auto Preset Memory

Up to 56 FM stations can be preset automatically ( page 36).

1 Press F G to set.

CD, AUX, CD-R:

When using a Control Dock for iPod, it is possible to connect with the audio input terminal of the assigned function.

DVD, TV, VCR, V.AUX:

When using a Control Dock for iPod, it is possible to connect with the audio and video input terminals of the assigned function.

OFF:

This is the factory default setting.

+15 dB, +10 dB, +5 dB, 0 dB:

• “CH” blinks on the display and searching begins.

• “Completed” appears once searching is completed.

If an FM station cannot be preset automatically due to poor

reception, use the “Manual tuning” operation ( page 37) to tune in the station, then preset it using the manual “Preset memory”

operation ( page 37).
