1.5.3 System Reset and Display Controls
Theserecessedbuttonsarelocatedbehindthetouchscreen,abovetheCD/DVDdrive.If
youneedtopressanyofthesebuttons,useanonconductivematerial,suchasatoothpick.
IfyoupresstheSystem Resetbutton,thesystemrestarts.Pressthisrecessedbuttononlyif
youcannotrestartthesystemusingtheDP600software(orbypressing
<Ctrl>+<Alt>+<Delete>torestart,asdescribedonpage26.Alwaysavoidrestartingby
disconnectingandreconnectingthepowercables.
Youcanusethe Display controlbuttontoadjusttheLCDdisplay.
1.5.4 Power Supply Indicators
ThreepowersupplyLEDsonthefrontpanelindicatewhetherthepowerison,ifoneofthe
redundantpowersupplieshasfailed,andthetemperatureoftheunit.
Power:ThisgreenLEDlightswhentheDP600haspower.
Powersupplyfailure:ThisredLEDisoffduringnormaloperation.Itlightsor
flashesredifeitheroftheredundantpowersuppliesfails.
Temperature:ThistricolorLEDglowsgreenwhenthetemperatureoftheunitis
cool,yellowifthetemperatureiswarm,andredifthetemperatureishot.Ifthis
LEDisyelloworred,theoperatingenvironmentmaybewarmerthanexpected
andinneedofmodification.Insuchacase,callyourDolbyauthorizedtechnical
representativeimmediately.
1.5.5 Internal Drive Indicators
TheDP600hasfivephysicalinternalharddrives.Drives1and2arearrangedina
RAID1configurationtoprovideprotectionfortheoperatingsystemaswellas
localstorage.Theremainingthreeharddrivesareconfiguredasseparatedrivesto
providelocalstorage.ThisconfigurationofoneRAIDpairandthreeseparate
drivesrepresentsfourlogicaldrives.
TherearefourbicolorLEDsonthefrontpanel,labeled1,2,3,and4.TheseLEDs
indicatethestatusoftheDP600’sfourlogicalinternalharddrives.ThedriveLEDs
functionasfollows:
Off(non‐illuminated):Indicatesafunctionaldrivewithnocurrentdiskaccess
activity.
Green:Indicatesnormaldriveactivity.
Red:Indicatesadrivefailure.
LED1 showsthestatusofthetwo‐driveRAID1configuration.Theoperating
systemisinstalledonthesemirroreddrivestopreventaphysicaldrivefailure,
resultinginaninoperablesystem.Ifeitherofthemirroreddrivesfails,theother
RAIDdriveenablesthesystemtooperatenormallyuntilthefaileddriveis
replaced.
