2-2. Displaying Screen Correctly
Digital Input
When digital signals are input, i mages are displayed correctly based on the p reset data of the monitor.
When performing advanc ed adjustment, see “2-3 Color Adjustment” (page 18) and subsequent pages.
Analog Input
Attention
Wait 30 minutes or more from monitor power on before st arting adjustment s.
(Allow the monitor to warm up for at least 30 mi nutes before making adjust ments.)

The monitor screen adjustment is used t o suppress ickering of the screen or adjust screen posit ion and
screen size correctly accordi ng to the PC to be used.
The auto adjustment function works when lling/satisfying all of the following conditions
When a signal is input into the monitor for the rst time or when the resolution or Vertical/
Horizontal Frequency not displayed before is set
When signals with the vertical r esolution over 480 are input

If the screen is not displayed correctly even aft er performing the auto adjustment, p erform the screen
adjustments according to the proc edures on the following pages to use the monitor comfor tably.

1 Per form the auto adjustment.

Procedure
Choose <Screen> from the Adjustment menu, a nd press .
Choose <Analog Adjustment> from the <Scre en> menu, and press .
Choose <Auto Adjustment>, and press .
The auto adjustment fu nction works (the message “In Progress” ap pears) to correctly adjust the icker ing, screen
position, and screen size cor rectly.
When the auto adjustment is c ompleted, a message appears. Select “OK” t o conrm the new setti ngs or “Cancel”
to restore the previous sett ings, and press .
Attention
This function works cor rectly when an image is ful ly displayed over the Windows or Macintosh display ar ea. It
does not work properly when an image is dis played only on a part of the screen (comman d prompt window, for
example) or when a black background (wallpaper, etc.) is in use.
This function does not work co rrectly with some graphic s boards.

If the screen is not displayed correctly even aft er adjusting in step 1 above, perform the adjust ments
according to the procedures on t he following pages. When the screen is displayed corr ectly, go to step
5 “To adjust color gradation automatically [Range]”.
