want to use the beat control for some chases but not for others. You can enter a name for the
chase on the second page of the chase record display.
Turn off the fixture LED in order to view the available memory locations then press the number
switch where you want to save the chase. After you have saved the chase, the record and chase
LEDs will continue to flash, allowing you to continue to add to or edit the chase in case you
would like to save a slightly different version at another location. To exit record mode, press
“record” and the LEDs will stop flashing.
Depending on how the chase is programmed either the dimmer or the shutter will be used to
flash a fixture. For chases that use a slow fade time the dimmer will be used and the shutter
will be opened to full. For quick flashes, the shutter will be used to flash the fixture with the
dimmer set to full. When controlling the chase using HTP playbacks, the playback fader will
control the brightness of the dimmer.
COMPLEX FLASH CHASE
The complex flash chase is a dimmer/shutter chase that lets you to flash more than one fixture
or conventional dimmer at each step. Press any combination of fixture numbers or dimmer
flash switches that you want to include in the step then press “enter” to move on to the next
step. You can toggle fixture switches on or off while programming each step. Use data wheel 1
to select and view the steps that have been entered. Use data wheel 2 to adjust the step time.
Use data wheel 3 to adjust the fade time. Use data wheel 4 to enable or disable beat and audio
for this chase. Press the right cursor to get to the second page of the menu to enter a name for
the chase.
While editing, you can use the erase switch to erase the contents of a step. If the step is already
empty, press “erase” to remove the empty step from the chase. You can use the add switch to
insert an empty step at the current step number. After the empty step has been added you can
select fixtures or dimmers to fill the step.
NOTE: Don’t press “enter” after finishing the last step. This will only add a new empty step at
the end of the chase.

COMPLEX CHANNEL CHASE
The complex channel chase lets you to create a chase using any channel from any light fixture.
Those who are familiar with the SD1 and SD2 will recognize this as being the same chase
editor used by those controllers.
To start recording the first chase step, select the fixtures to include and then adjust the channel
(s) to include. You can use the wheels, the flex faders (in fixture channel mode) or the joystick.
To select fixtures to include in the chase or to use the data wheels, press the fixture switch first.
Any channel adjustments will be recorded into the step so take care not to move any channels
that you don’t want included in the chase. You can also include presets in the chase step.
After you have finished adding channels or presets to a step, press “enter”. Note: The fixture
LED must be turned off before pressing “enter” to move on to the next step. The step indicator
