What to do if...Trouble Shooting
If the appliance is not working correctly, please carry out the following
checks before contacting your local Service Force Centre. Important: If
you call out an engineer to a fault listed below or to repair a fault
caused by incorrect use or installation, a charge will be made even if
the appliance is in guarantee.
•If the fault code C1, C2 or Cd is shown in
the multi-display, you may be able to rem-
edy the fault yourself (see the Fault table
below).
After clearing the fault, press the START/PAUSE button. If the fault
code is shown again, contact your local Service Force Centre.
•For all other faults displayed in the multi-display, please contact your
local AEG Service Force Centre, stating the fault code.
Problem Possible cause Remedy
Washing machine does
not work.
The mains plug is not
plugged in. Plug in the mains plug.
The house fuse has blown. Replace the fuse.
Door is not properly closed. Close door; Lock must en-
gage audibly .
START/PAUSE button has not
been pressed long enough.
Keep the START/PAUSE but-
ton pressed until the pro-
gramme starts.
Door cannot be closed. Child safety feature is
switched On.
Cancel child safety feature
(see section „Child safety
feature“).
Error code Cd is shown
in the multi-display.
The indicators
PRE WASH, RINSE and
RINSE+ flash.
The filling door is not
correctly closed.
Close the filling door cor-
rectly. Restart the program.
