Using WebView

BydefaultWebView(EnterasysNetworks’embeddedwebserverfordeviceconfigurationand
managementtasks)isenabledonTCPportnumber80oftheMatrixSeriesdevice.Youcanverify
WebViewstatus,enableordisableWebView,asdescribedinthefollowingsection.

Displaying WebView status:

TodisplayWebViewstatus,entershowwebviewattheCLIcommandprompt.
ThisexampleshowsthatWebViewisenabledonTCPport80,thedefaultportnumber.
Matrix(rw)->show webview
WebView is Enabled. Configured listen port is 80.

Enabling / disabling WebView:

ToenableordisableWebView,entersetwebview{enableodisable}attheCLIcommandprompt.
ThisexampleshowshowtoenableWebView.
Matrix(rw)->set webview enable

Logging in with a Default User Account

IfthisisthefirsttimeyourareloggingintotheMatrixSeriesdevice,orifthedefaultuseraccounts
havenotbeenadministrativelychanged,proceedasfollows:
1. Attheloginprompt,enteroneofthefollowingdefaultusernames:
roforReadOnlyaccess,
rwforReadWriteaccess.
adminforSuperUseraccess.
2. PressENTER.ThePasswordpromptdisplays.
Note: Depending on which Matrix Series device you are using, your default command prompt may
be different than the examples shown.
Note: By default, the Matrix Series device is configured with three user login accounts: ro for Read-
Only access; rw for Read-Write access; and admin for super-user access to all modifiable
parameters. The default password is set to a blank string. For information on changing these default
settings, refer to “Setting User Accounts and Passwords” on page 2-15.
