●If paper jams, remove the paper, then press OK to clear the jam.

●Load paper glossy side up. Load up to a maximum of 20 sheets. Place the paper against the right edge and slide the edge guide against it, but not so tight that paper can’t move.

●Don’t load plain paper; this may damage PictureMate.

●Make sure you are using only PictureMate Photo Paper or Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper (see page 33). Store paper flat to help prevent curling.

Miscellaneous Printout Problems

The printer prints blank pages.

The print head may need cleaning. See page 44.

The borders or layout are incorrect.

●Check your Layout setting to see if it is correct. See page 17.

●If you have a border on one side of your photo but not the other, make sure the paper is positioned correctly in the paper support, all the way to the right. Slide the edge guide against the paper.

●Make sure the Crop setting is set to None. See page 20.

●If the subject of your photo is very close to the edge of the image, you may want to select Border as the Layout setting. This prevents the automatic enlargement of your photo (to eliminate the borders) which may be causing part of your image to be cut off.

The wrong photo is printed.

●The photo numbering on the proof sheet may not match the numbering in your camera. First print a proof sheet to identify your photos by number. If you deleted photos or took new ones, make sure you print a new proof sheet.

●If your camera supports DPOF, you can pre-select photos so PictureMate will print only the ones you want. You can also de-select DPOF if you want to choose other photos. See page 15.

●If your camera is PictBridge- or USB DP-enabled, you can connect it to PictureMate and control printing from your camera. See page 30.

Too many copies are printing.

Make sure that the Copies option is set to the number of copies you want to print. See page 16.
