Follow these steps to install SIMMs:

1.Turn off the printer and unplug the power cable from the electrical outlet.

Warning:

w To avoid electrical shock, do not access the printer’s controller board unless the printer is turned off and unplugged from the electrical outlet.

2.Disconnect any interface cables from the printer.

3.Follow steps 2 and 3 on page 4-5 to remove the controller board from the printer.

4.Locate the two SIMM slots on the controller board. You can use either or both RAM slots, but do not use the ROM slot.

5.Align the SIMM pins marked either 1 or 72 with the pin position marked on the slot.
