Resetting the Printer
There are two ways to reset (retu rn to a fixed set of conditions)
the printer.
Reset
Reset the settings for the emulation mode and interface you are
using now by holding down ALT and Reset until Reset appears
on the display. You can reset the printer anytime a printout is not
being sent on the interface you are using.
Reset all
Reset the settings for all emulation m odes and interfaces by
holding down ALT and Reset until Reset All appears on the
display. You can also reset all emulation modes and inter faces by
turning the printer off and back on.
Note:
Reset clears all print jobs received from all interfaces; be careful not to
disrupt someone else’s print job.
Cleaning the Printer
The printer needs only minimal cleaning. If you notice a decline
in print quality, clean the inside of the prin ter as described in this
section.
You should also clean the paper feeder and the printer cover every
few months. These procedures are described later in this section.
Follow the steps below to clean the ins i de of the printer and the
paper feeder.
