takes over and the FX-286 starts printing out the Standard IBM Pro- printer character set, as shown in Figure A-2.

If you want to see the Alternate set, turn the power OFF. Then reset either switch 1-6,1-7,or 1-8from ON to OFF, and run the self test again.

Remember, you must also reset DIP switches 2-1and 2-3as previously mentioned if you want to select the IBM Proprinter mode for uses other than the self test.

Tables A-1and A-2show you the functions of all the switches, and the rest of the appendix explains each of them.
