6. Insert a sheet of paper between the edge guides until it meets

resistance. Make sure you adjust the edge guides to match the

width of your paper. After a few se conds, the printer feeds the

paper to the loading position and begins printing the self test.

Note:

❏Always close the printer cover before printing. The printer stops

printing when the cover is open.

❏If you want to temporarily stop printing the self test, press the

Pause button. To resume printing, press Pause again.

7. To end the self test, firs t p ress the Pause button. If paper

remains in the printer, press the Load/Eject button to eject

the page; then turn off the printer. Here is part of a typical self

test:
