b) Remove deck support belt shield t o check mower deck drive belt condition.
c) Look under engine deck to check the transmission drive and clutching belt
condition.
d) Inspect wheel drive belt conditions
e) Check the wheel drive idler arm s to be sure they pivot freely. Disassem ble,
clean and grease pivot bushing s if necessary.
5.1.13 Inspect PT O Clutching Belt Tension.
Service Interval: Check every 2 hrs. for fi rst 8 hrs. operat ion then check every
40 hrs. thereafter.
a) Stop engine and wait for all moving part s to stop.
b) Engage PTO lever.
c) Look thr ough the round hole in the left rear corner of the engine deck to
inspect PTO clutching belt tension. Bolt on PTO engagement link age
bellcrank and indicat or arm should align within 1/16” (See figur e 14) . Refer
to section 5.2. 2 for adjustment.
5.1.14 Lubrication
Service Interval: Refer to Chart .
a) Stop engine, wait for all moving part s to stop, and remove key or spark plug
wire(s).
b) Lubricate fittings with one to two pumps of NGLI gr ade no. 2 m ulti-purpose gun
grease. Refer to the following chart for fitting locations and lubrication schedule.
