Stage Two — Install the Wallplates and MLC 104 IP Plus

NThe installation must conform to national and local electrical codes, and UL requirements. Refer to the devices’ user manuals for details.

1.Install mud rings

NThese devices can be installed using the supplied mud ring or a wall box. If installing a box, allow enough depth for the plate, and the cables. The box should be at least 2.5" (6.4 cm) deep to accommodate the connectors and cables.

If a suitable wall box is already installed, follow step 2 onwards.

a.Mark the holes for the mud rings.

TUse a level when marking the holes.

b.Cut out the material from the marked area.

c.Insert the mud ring into the opening. The mud ring’s rear connectors should fit easily into the opening. Bend over the mud ring doglegs and secure with the screws provided.

Repeat steps a to c for all the transmitters needing to be installed.

d.At the desired location repeat steps a to c for the larger

MLC 104 IP Plus mud ring

1c Insert the mud ring.

NOTE Rotate the dogleg out of the way to insert the mud ring into the wall.
