Viewing a configuration

The current configuration can be viewed using the front panel buttons. The view- only mode prevents inadvertent changes to the current configuration.

To view the current configuration, do the following:

1.

Press the Esc button to clear any input button indications, output button

 

indications, or control button indications that may be on.

2.

Press and release the View button.

3.(TPX 88 A only) Select video, audio, or both to view by pressing the I/O button. The Video and/or Audio LEDs light to indicate that video and/or audio are selected.

4. Select the desired input or output whose ties you wish to view by pressing the input or output buttons.

• To see all ties of the current configuration, press and release each input and output button, one at a time, (TPX 88 A only) with the Video and Audio LEDs lit.

(TPX 88 A only) In view-only mode, you can view video and audio, video-only, or audio-only ties. Pressing and releasing the Video and Audio buttons toggles each on and off.

When you enter view-only mode, the output buttons light for all outputs without ties. Likewise, when an output button for which there are no ties is pushed, the output buttons turn on for all outputs without ties.

(TPX 88 A only) The output buttons’ colors indicate audio breakaway for one or more of those outputs.

Example 4a: Viewing ties (TPX 88 A only)

The following steps show an example of viewing the video and audio, audio-only, and video-only ties in the current configuration. Where an explanation is helpful, the steps show the front panel indications that result from your action.

 

 

This example assumes that you have performed example 1, example 2, and

 

 

example 3a.

1.

Press and release the Esc button.

2.

Press and release the View button to enter view-only mode. The View LED

 

lights (figure 3-20).

Press the button to select view mode.

The View LED lights when view mode is selected.

The buttons for all untied outputs light amber until you select an input.

The lit indications indicate the untied outputs after performing example 1, example 2, and example 3a.

For the TPX 88 A, step 3 has also been performed.
