4.Configuring the FieldServer as a Simplex Time Recorder Company - 4100 Computer Port Protocol Client

ForadetaileddiscussiononFieldServerconfigurat ion,pleaserefertotherelevantinstruction manual. The information that follows describes how to expand upon the factory defaults providedintheconfigurationfilesincludedwitht heFieldServer(See“.csv”filesprovidedwith theFieldServer).

Thissectiondocumentsanddescribestheparameters necessaryforconfiguringtheFieldServer to communicate with a Simplex Time Recorder Company 4100 Computer Port Protocol Server.

TheconfigurationfiletellstheFieldServerabout itsinterfaces,andtheroutingofdatarequired. InordertoenabletheFieldServerforSimplexTime RecorderCompany4100ComputerPort Protocolcommunications,thedriverindependentFie ldServerbuffersneedtobedeclaredinthe “DataArrays”section,thedestinationdeviceaddre ssesneedtobedeclaredinthe“ClientSide Nodes”section,andthedatarequiredfromtheserv ersneedstobemappedinthe“ClientSide MapDescriptors”section.Detailsonhowtodothi scanbefoundbelow.
