Highlighting Search Words Expanding Your Searches

You can also search for a word by high- lighting it in a verse. Try this example.

1.Find Romans 3:5.

To learn how, read “Looking up a Bible Verse.”

2.Press ENTER to start the highlight.

To turn the highlight off, press BACK .

3.Use the arrow keys to high- light unrighteous.

4.Press ENTER to search for the highlighted word.

5.Hold and press DN repeat- edly to view the next matches.

6.Press MENU to view the books that have matches.

7.Press CLEAR when done.

You can expand your word searches up to three times to find inflections, synonyms, and similar words.

1.Press CLEAR .

2.Type a word and press ENTER .

For example, enter belief.

3.Press MORE (the red key) to expand the search.

4.Press MORE (red) again.

5.Press MORE (red) once more to fully expand the search.

6.Press MENU to view the menus.

7.Select a book to view its matches.

8.Press CLEAR when done.
