SATA (serial advanced technology attachment) – SATA is a successor to the older Parallel ATA or IDE technology allowing for faster data transfer speeds.
Subnet Mask – A mask used to determine what subnet an IP address belongs to. Subnets enable the network administrator to further divide the host part of the address into two or more subnets.
RAID (redundant array of independent disks) – RAID technology allows multiple hard drives to be grouped together to provide performance enhancements and/or data redundancy.
TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) – Short for Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol, the suite of communications protocols used to connect hosts on the Internet.
