Password: The password used to log into the web interface.

3.11 Network Settings

Clicking on the “Advanced” button in the menu, then clicking “Network” on the left menu will open the Network page (Figure 3-22) which displays the network settings that were set when you initially configured the storage system.

Note: Changing the IP address or subnet mask can have several effects. If you access the Manager using the Storage System Console or using the storage system’s IP address, access to the Manager will be disrupted and you will have to access it again using the new IP address. Users who accessed the shared folders using the previous IP address will be disconnected and must access them again using the new IP address. Users who backed up their disks to the storage system using the previous IP address must remove protection for all affected disks and protect their disks again, removing the storage system from the list of backup locations and adding it again using the new IP address.

Users who backed up their disks to the storage system using the storage system name do not have to remove protection from their disks or remove the storage system from the list of backup locations. However, they must start DiskSafe Express so that it can retrieve the new IP address.
