Check the filter sump. Sediment collects around the suction pipe in the filter pan bottom.
Remove the filter pan cover.
Unlatch hold down ring and remove filter paper and filter paper support
Check the filter paper in
the filter pan.

Paper may not be secured by the hold down ring. Air is being allowed into the filter system.

Clean support grid
and set aside temporarily.
Wipe sediments out of the filter pan bottom.
Paper may be plugged due to improper use of filter powder.
Change the filter paper. Take a new sheet and place it in the bottom of the filter pan.
Secure the filter paper by snapping the hold down ring into place.
Sprinkle 8 oz/.27kg of filter powder evenly across the filter paper surface.

Inspect drain port on the oil pickup tube in the filter pan bottom and remove any sediment or visible blockages.
Reassemble the filter pan
assembly. Turn pump motor ON by turning the oil return handle.
Has the oil return rate improved?
