Setting Silent Mode

Set Silent mode by pressing and holding DISP/BACK. Use this mode for taking pictures in places where making an operation or shutter sound is restricted.

Operation sound, shutter sound, voice memo playback sound, and the self-timer lamp are disabled.

MEMO

•Press and hold DISP/BACK again to release Silent mode.

•Release Silent mode to adjust sound volume.

•When the use of flash is restricted, press the flash down to change the camera to Suppressed flash mode (➝p.67).

•Silent mode cannot be set while playing back movies or voice memos.
