Is the shipping lock set at operating position?

YES

Are the document loaded correctly on the ADF paper chute?

YES

Is the ADF closed completely?

YES

Is the interface cable connected correctly?

YES

(when using scanner on SCSI interface)

Is the SCSI ID set correctly?

YES

Does the Function No. display indicates any alarm?

YES

Does the alarm state remain displayed even after the scanner has been turned off and on again?

YES

Contact the manufacturer's authorized service center.

Set the shipping lock to correctly position.

Load document correctly on ADF paper chute.

Remove all documents from the ADF paper chute. Then open and close the ADF.

Connect interface cable correctly.

Set SCSI ID correctly by SCSI ID switch on rear of scanner.

The scanner operation is normal.
