CPU Settings Submenu

Sets the CPU clock frequency, etc.

Item Setting Description
CPU Mismatch Detection Enabled (Fixed parameter) Sets whether to enable or disable the CPU clock
frequency checking.
Hyper Threading Disabled
Enabled (at the time of
purchase)
Sets whether or not to run one CPU as a dual-
processing CPU.
The setting [Enabled] may enhance processing
performance by allowing maximum use of the CPU
resources.
Note:
This item can be set only when using the
optional 3EGHz CPU.
Some operating systems and applications
do not support the Hyper-Threading
function.
For Windows 2000 Server, if this item is
changed after installation of the OS, you
need to change the OS setup. Refer to "9.8
Changing OS Settings" (pg.254).
This change is performed automatically on
Windows Server 2003.
L3 Cache Enabled (Fixed parameter) Sets whether to enable or disable the L3 cache of
the processor.
Delay prior to Enabling the
TCC
1 (Fixed parameter) Configures the CPU internal setting.
Fast String operations Enabled (Fixed parameter)
Compatible FPU Code Disabled (Fixed parameter)
Split Lock operations Enabled (Fixed parameter)

APIC Enabled (Fixed parameter) Sets an interrupt control for the CPU in a
multiprocessor environment.
