The hood can be installed in an upper cabinet without a base. Refer to Fig. 15 for dimensions.

If no corresponding cabinet is available, remove the base from a commercially available cabinet.

The upper cabinet must have a minimum depth of 295 mm (11 13/32") (clear width of interior) and a minimum height of 450 mm (17 23/32").

Using the included screws, fit the retaining brackets on the inside of the suspended cabinet (Fig. 17). The retaining brackets must be mounted flush with the bottom and front edges of the cabinet at a distance of 33 mm (1 3/10”).

Using the side mounting rails, place the hood on the pre-fitted retaining brackets and slide it towards the rear into the cabinet (Fig. 18). The screen slide is then flush with the bottom edge of the cabinet.

Laterally align the hood. Use the included sheet metals screws to bolt down the retaining bracket and the mounting rail on the left and right.

Then fit the included plastic Covers onto the mounting rails. Use a knife to cut the plastic covers to size if upper cabinets measure 55 cm (21 5/8”) in width or if cabinets have a wall thickness of more than 16 mm (5/8”).

$ CAUTION: Use care when cutting the space rail and cover size to prevent personal injury.

Cut the included spacer rail to size so that it bridges the distance between the rear edge of the hood and the wall behind it.

Remove the lamp Cover (see Lamp replacement) and bolt the spacer rail to the rear panel of the unit.

Lay the air pipes and connect the unit to the power mains.
