SettingUp Your Monitor

SENSOR PAD (See figs. 1 and 2)

Place the Sensor Pad under the center of the crib mattress with the blue side facing up. Do not place any loose bedding or linen between the crib mattress and the Sensor Pad. The Sensor Pad must rest on a flat, firm surface. If your crib has a spring or slat base, place a piece of Masonite board under the Sensor Pad. This support must measure at least 13 inches long on all four sides and 1/4 inch thick. (You may order a Masonite board directly from us.

Call Graco at 1-800-345-4109). If your crib has a plywood base, your mattress support is firm enough to use the monitor properly. Only use your Angelcare® monitor in a stationary sleeping environment such as a crib where the Sensor Pad can rest on a flat, firm surface. Be sure to place the turquoise side of the Sensor Pad facing up.

CAUTION: To avoid potential strangulation accidents resulting from loose cords or wires in the crib, make sure the Sensor Pad cord passes underneath the mattress entirely. After positioning the Sensor Pad under the mattress, bring the cord to the corner of the crib and secure it to the top and bottom of the leg of the crib, or wind it around the leg

(see fig. 1).
