Crosscutting

The Model G0588/G0591 can crosscut full size panels with the fence in the forward or rear posi- tion, although it is easier to load full size panels with the crosscut fence mounted in the forward position (see Figure 57).

Mounting the crosscut fence in the rear position (Figure 58) gives greater stability for crosscutting smaller panels.

Lastly, this machine has the capability of cross- cutting workpieces while using the rip fence as a cut-off gauge (Figure 59).

Determine which cutting operation will be best suited for the workpiece to be crosscut.

—If you will be crosscutting full size panels, then skip ahead to “Crosscutting full size panels.”
