Be sure to read ALL instructions and warnings before using your HAAN® Steam Vacuum.

27.DO NOT use without the Dust Collection Bin or HEPA filter in place. Empty the dust cup frequently when picking up very fine materials such as powder.

28.Do not put any object into openings on the unit not designated for that object. DO NOT use the unit with any openings blocked.

29.DO NOT use to pick up anything burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches or hot ashes.

30.Connect to properly grounded outlets only. See Grounding Instructions below.

IMPORTANT Grounding Instructions:

The HAAN® SV-60 must be connected to a grounded (3-prong) wiring system. Grounding provides a safe path of least resistance for electrical current, in the event the unit should malfunction or break down, thereby reducing the risk of electrical shock. The cord for this product has an equipment- grounding conductor and a grounding plug. Do not plug it into an outlet that is not properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.

Check with a qualified electrician or service person if you aren’t sure if the outlet is properly grounded. If it will not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician. This appliance is designed for use on a nominal 120-volt circuit and has a grounding attachment plug as illustrated above. Make certain that the appliance is connected to an outlet having the same configuration as the plug. No plug adapter should be used with this appliance.
