Donotllpetrolcontainersinsideavehicle
oronatruckortrailerbedbecauseinterior
carpetsorplastictruckbedlinersmay
insulatethecontainerandslowthelossof
anystaticcharge.
Whenpractical,removepetrol-powered
equipmentfromthetruckortrailerand
refueltheequipmentwithitswheelsonthe
ground.
Ifthisisnotpossible,thenrefuelsuch
equipmentonatruckortrailerfroma
portablecontainer,ratherthanfromapetrol
dispensernozzle.
Ifapetroldispensernozzlemustbeused,
keepthenozzleincontactwiththerimof
thefueltankorcontaineropeningatall
timesuntilfuelingiscomplete.
Petrolisharmfulorfatalifswallowed.
Long-termexposuretovaporscancauseserious
injuryandillness.
Avoidprolongedbreathingofvapors.
Keepfaceawayfromnozzleandfueltankor
conditioneropening.
Keepfuelawayfromeyesandskin.

UsingStabilizer/Conditioner

Useafuelstabilizer/conditionerinthemachineto
providethefollowingbenets:
Keepspetrolfreshduringstorageof30daysorless.
Forlongerstorageitisrecommendedthatthefuel
tankbedrained.
Cleanstheenginewhileitruns.
Eliminatesgum-likevarnishbuildupinthefuel
system,whichcauseshardstarting.

Usethefuelwindowbelowtheoperatortoverifythe
levelofpetrolbeforellingthetank(Figure13).
