•Alwaysplacepetrolcontainersonthe
groundawayfromyourvehiclebeforelling.
•Donotllpetrolcontainersinsideavehicle
oronatruckortrailerbedbecauseinterior
carpetsorplastictruckbedlinersmay
insulatethecontainerandslowthelossof
anystaticcharge.
•Whenpractical,removepetrol-powered
equipmentfromthetruckortrailerand
refueltheequipmentwithitswheelsonthe
ground.
•Ifthisisnotpossible,thenrefuelsuch
equipmentonatruckortrailerfroma
portablecontainer,ratherthanfromapetrol
dispensernozzle.
•Ifapetroldispensernozzlemustbeused,
keepthenozzleincontactwiththerimof
thefueltankorcontaineropeningatall
timesuntilfuelingiscomplete.
Petrolisharmfulorfatalifswallowed.
Long-termexposuretovaporscancauseserious
injuryandillness.
•Avoidprolongedbreathingofvapors.
•Keepfaceawayfromnozzleandfueltankor
conditioneropening.
•Keepfuelawayfromeyesandskin.
UsingStabilizer/Conditioner
Useafuelstabilizer/conditionerinthemachineto
providethefollowingbenets:
•Keepspetrolfreshduringstorageof30daysorless.
Forlongerstorageitisrecommendedthatthefuel
tankbedrained.
•Cleanstheenginewhileitruns.
•Eliminatesgum-likevarnishbuildupinthefuel
system,whichcauseshardstarting.

Usethefuelwindowbelowtheoperatortoverifythe
levelofpetrolbeforellingthetank(Figure13).
