F.After the Appliance is Lit

Initial Break-in Procedure

When you light the appliance, you may notice that it pro- duces heat which does have an associated odor or smell. This appliance should be run three to four hours on the initial start-up. Turn it off and let it cool completely. Run the appliance for an additional 12 hours. This will help cure the products used in the paint and logs.

WARNING! Risk of Fire or Burns! Provide adequate clear- ance for service access. Due to high temperatures, the ap- pliance should be located out of traffic and away from fur- niture and draperies.

WARNING! DO NOT place combustible objects in front of the fireplace. High temperatures may start a fire.
