ADVERTENCIA:

Nunca corte hasta la muesca al efectuar el corte trasero. La bisagra, que es la parte de madera existente entre la muesca y el corte trasero, controla la caída del árbol.

ELIMINACIÓN DE RAÍCES ZANCAS

Una raíz zanca es una raíz larga que se extiende desde el tronco del árbol, por encima de la tierra. Antes de talar el árbol, elimine las raíces zancas grandes. Primero efectúe el corte horizontal en la raíz zanca, seguido del corte vertical. Retire del área de trabajo la parte suelta resultante. Una vez habiendo eliminado las raíces zancas grandes de la forma señalada en Procedimiento correcto para talar árboles, aplique el procedimiento adecuado para talar el árbol.

TRONZADO

Tronzado es el término aplicado al corte del tronco de un árbol derribado, en tramos de la longitud deseada.

n Solamente corte un tronco a la vez.

nApoye los troncos pequeños en un caballete de aserrar o en otro tronco mientras los tronza.

nMantenga despejada el área del corte. Asegúrese de que ningún objeto pueda tocar la punta de la barra guía ni la cadena durante el corte, ya que puede originarse un contragolpe. Para evitar tal peligro, mantenga montada la protección anticontragolpe SAFE-T-TIP®mientras efectúa el corte. Consulte el apartado Contragolpe de la sección Reglas de seguridad específicas de este manual, donde encontrará información de seguridad adicional.

n Durante las operaciones de tronzado párese en el lado cuesta arriba de manera que la parte recortada del tronco no ruede encima de usted.

n Algunas veces es imposible evitar el pellizcamiento (sólo con las técnicas de corte estándar) o es difícil predecir en qué dirección irá a asentarse un tronco al cortarse.
