STORING THE PRODUCT

nClean all foreign material from the product. Store it in a well-ventilated place that is inaccessible to children. Keep away from corrosive agents such as garden chemicals and de-icing salts.

nAbide by all Federal and local regulations for the safe storage and handling of gasoline.

When storing 1 month or longer:

nRun the engine until it stops. This will remove all fuel-lubricant mix that could become stale and leave varnish and gum in the fuel system.

nSqueeze primer bulb several times to purge fuel from carburetor.

nDrain all bar and chain lubricant from tank into a container approved for oil.

nAlways place the scabbard over the guide bar and chain before transporting or storing the unit.

HIGH ALTITUDE ENGINE OPERATION

Please have an authorized service center adjust this engine if it is to be run above 2000 feet. Failure to do so may result in poor engine performance, spark plug fouling, hard starting, and increased emissions. Carburetor adjustment by an authorized service center will improve performance and allow that this engine meets EPA (Environmental Protec- tion Agency) and California ARB (Air Resources Board) emission standards. An engine adjusted for high altitudes can not be run at 2000 feet or lower. In doing so, the engine will overheat and cause serious engine damage. Please have an authorized service center restore high altitude modified engines to the original factory specifica- tion before operating below 2000 feet.
