UTILISATION

AVERTISSEMENT :

Ne jamais grimper dans un arbre pour l’ébrancher ou l’émonder. Ne pas travailler en se tenant sur une échelle, une plate-forme, toits, ou une bille, ni se tenir dans une position risquant de faire perdre l’équilibre ou le contrôle de la scie.

■n Lors de l’émondage il est important de ne pas couper au ras d’une branche maîtresse ou du tronc, avant d’avoir coupé la branche à distance pour en réduire le poids. Ceci évite d’endommager l’écorce.

•La première entaille doit être effectuée par le dessous, jusqu’au tiers du diamètre de la branche.

•Pratiquer l’entaille par le dessus pour faire tomber la branche.

•Effectuer la coupe finale sans à-coup et nettement, au ras du tronc ou de la branche maîtresse, de façon à ce que l’écorce puisse repousser pour sceller la plaie.

AVERTISSEMENT :

Si les branches à couper se trouvent au-dessus du niveau de la poitrine, confier le travail à un professionnel.

COUPE DE FOUETS

Un fouet est une bille, une branche, une souche déracinée ou un arbrisseau fléchi sous tension par une autre pièce de bois qui se détendra une fois que cette pièce est coupée ou enlevée. La souche déracinée d’un arbre abattu risque fortement de se remettre à la verticale lorsque la coupe destinée

àséparer le tronc de la souche est effectuée. Se méfier des fouets, ils sont dangereux.

AVERTISSEMENT :

Les fouets sont dangereux et peuvent heurter l’opérateur, lui faisant perdre le contrôle de la scie. Ceci peut entraîner des blessures graves ou mortelles.
