INITIAL USE INSTRUCTIONS

Fuel can damage paint and plastic. Be careful not to spill fuel when
filling your fuel tank. Damage caused by spilled fuel is not covered
under warranty.
Move the generator at least10 f eet(3 meters) away from the fueling
source and site before starting the engine.
Battery posts, terminals,and related accessories contain
lead and lead components.
The battery is disconnected for shipment.
Connect the battery positive ( ) cable to the battery positive ( )
terminal first and tighten the bolt securely.
Slide the battery boot over the positive ( ) cable and terminal.
Install the front cover, and install the four 6 mm cap nuts, making
sure the four collared washers areplaced in the rubber grommets
inside the cover.
Install the battery rubberand the battery holder band.
Connect the battery negative ( ) cable to the battery negative ( )
terminal, and tighten the bolt securely.
Remove the front cover (see page 57 )1.
