25A FUSE

The electric starter relay circuit and battery c harging circuit are
protected by a 25-ampere fuse. If the fuse burns out, the electric
starter will not operate. The engine can be started manually if the
fuse burns out, but running the engine will not charge the battery.
Remove the 6 12 mms crew from the rear cover of the engine
switchbox.
Remove the fuse cover, and inspect the fuse.
If the fuse is burnt out, remove the fuse cover, then pull out and
discard the burnt-out fuse. Install a new 25-ampere fuse, and
reinstallthe fuse cover.

Never use a fuse witha rating greater than 25 amperes. Serious

damage to the electrical system or a fire could result.

Reinstallthe rear cover. Install the 6 12 mm screw and tighten
it securely.
Frequent fuse failure usually indicates a shor tc ircuit or an
overload in the electrical system. If the fuse burns out fr equently,
take the engine to a servicing Honda dealer for repair.
