The HP Photosmart 7200 Series Assistant (Assistant) provides information about the printer’s control panel and displays messages from your printer on the computer screen when you insert memory cards into the printer and when error conditions occur.
Note: The Assistant is only available if you are using a Windows PC.

1To start the Assistant, do one of the following:
–Click the HP Photosmart 7200 Series Assistant icon on your desktop.
–From the Start menu, select Programs (on Windows XP select All Programs),
The Assistant’s Welcome window appears. As you move your cursor over this window, clickable images are outlined in yellow.
2Do one of the following:
–Click an item on the window to learn more.
–Click Printer Help to go to the first page of the HP Photosmart Printer Help.
Note: You can turn off these messages on the Assistant’s Welcome window by selecting the Don’t show on card insertion check box.
3Click Close to close the Assistant.
