To conserve battery power, the active display turns off automatically if there is no button activity for 60 seconds. When the camera is in this “sleep” state, pressing any button will wake the camera up again. If no buttons are pressed during the sleep state, the camera will turn off after the time that is set in the Auto Power Off menu (page 86), unless it is connected to a computer, printer, or TV.
