Operational space requirements
To provide space for internal airflow and housing of the cooling unit components, the MCS 5042 is wider and deeper than conventional HP racks. HP recommends a minimum access space for the MCS 5042 in the standard single rack configuration be 1219 mm (4 feet) in the front and 914mm (3 feet) in the rear as shown in Figure 6.
