3Navigate to your CD-ROM drive, and open the HP ScanPicture Office 97 Patch folder.

4Double-click setup.exe.

The “InstallShield” dialog box is displayed.

5Click Yes to install the Office 97 patch.

6When the patch has been installed, click OK.

7Restart your computer.

You will now be able to scan while working in your Office 97 programs.
