Choose the type of Internet connection
There are 3 basic types of Internet connection:
■� Broadband: High-speed Internet access is available through:
❏Cable modem
❏Digital Subscriber Line (DSL)
❏Satellite
❏Other services
For broadband access, additional hardware and/or software must be provided by your ISP.
■� Wireless: For high-speed mobile Internet access, you can use a wireless connection. A wireless network set up at home requires a wireless router, purchased separately. To learn about setting up wireless access, visit http://www.hp.com/go/wireless (English only).
■� Dial-up:You can access the Internet by dialing into a service provider using a modem cable connected to an RJ-11 (modem) jack.
