8.5 Internet Sharing (Using Your Phone as a Modem)
With Internet Sharing, you can use your phone as an external modem for another
device such as a PDA phone or notebook computer.
Note Make sure your phone has a SIM card installed, and you have set up a GPRS/3G or
phone dial-up modem connection on your phone. If your phone has not been set
up with a data connection yet, select Menu > Connection Settings on the Internet
Sharing screen. For more information about setting up a GPRS or 3G connection, see
"3G/GPRS/EDGE". For more information about setting up a phone dial-up connection,
see "Dial-up".
To set up the phone as a USB modem
On your phone, select Start > Device Management > Internet Sharing.
In the PC Connection list, select USB.
In the Network Connection list, select the name of connection that your
phone uses to connect to the Internet.
Plug in the USB cable between your phone and the computer.
Select Connect.
To set up the phone as a Bluetooth modem
You can connect your phone to a computer through Bluetooth and use the phone
as a modem for the computer.

Bluetooth modem” in this chapter.
To end the Internet connection
On the Internet Sharing screen, select Disconnect.
