En general, la cadena debe tensarse tanto como sea posible, aunque debe ser posible girarla fácilmente con la mano.

•Afloje las tuercas de la espada que fijan la cubierta del embrague/el freno de cadena. Utilice la llave combinada. Luego, apriete las tuercas a mano, lo más fuerte que pueda.

•Con la punta de la espada hacia arriba, tense la cadena enroscando el tornillo tensor con la llave combinada. Tense la cadena hasta que deje de colgar en la parte inferior de la espada.

•Con la llave combinada, apriete las tuercas de la espada sujetando al mismo tiempo la punta de la misma. Compruebe que la cadena pueda girarse a mano con facilidad y que no cuelgue en la parte inferior de la espada.

•Aflojar la manija abriéndola.

•Girar la manija a izquierdas para soltar la cubierta de la espada.

•Ajustar la tensión de la cadena, girando la rueda hacia abajo (+) para aumentar la tensión y hacia arriba (-) para reducirla.

•Apretar el acoplamiento de la espada, girando la manija a derechas.

•Cerrar la manija para fijar el tensado.
