The CD in the CD-ROM drive is not a High Sierra or an ISO 9660 format. The CD-ROM drive does not support this format.

The connectors on the audio cables provided do not fit the connector on your audio adapter.

Some audio adapters might require special cable.s See the documentation that comes with your audio adapter.

You might have to purchase separately an audio cable for the CD-ROM drive. The audio-out connector on the CD-ROM drive requires a MPC-2 compliant Molex 70066-G connector. (See “Back view of the drive” on page 1-3to locate the audio connector.) If you are using an IBM computer or IBM audio adapter, refer to “Appendix C. Help and service information” on page C-1for assistance.

The front headphone jack does not work (Windows 98, Windows 2000, and Windows Me).

If the front headphone jack does not work, do the following steps:

1.Right-click on My Computer.

2.Select Properties.

3.Select the Device Manager tab.

4.Open the tree to CD-ROM.

5.Double-click on the device or select it and press the Properties button.

6.Select the Properties tab.

7.Uncheck the “Enable Digital audio for this CD-ROM device” box.
