Connect 3270 and 5250 TE Clients

The M71V2 Expanded Memory version handheld terminal can run an optional 3270 or 5250 terminal emulation client from Connect Inc.

The 3270 and 5250 TE clients are typically used with IBM AS/400 and IBM mainframe systems. This optional software allows the M71V2 handheld terminal to work just like a standard IBM workstation terminal but with a smaller display.

The Connect TE software also has the ability to re-format the larger IBM workstation display screens into the smaller M71V2 handheld screens. This process is referred to screen mapping, screen formatting or screen scraping. The ability to re-format the keyboard is also included with the Connect software as well as PC based terminal manager software.
