Controlling Other Out-of-range

Components

For another component that is out of range of its remote controller, you can use a commercially available IR emitter to retransmit the remote controller signals received at the DPS-10.5’s IR IN, as shown below.

picked up by the DPS-10.5’s remote control sensor are not.

Connecting the Power Cord

Notes:

• Before connecting the power cord, complete all of the

 

necessary audio and video connections.

Do not use a power cord other than the one supplied

 

with the DPS-10.5, which is designed exclusively for

 

use with the DPS-10.5 and should not be used with

 

any other component.

Never disconnect the power cord from the DPS-10.5

 

while the other end is still plugged into a wall outlet.

 

Doing so may cause an electric shock. Always discon-

 

nect the power cord from the wall outlet first.

• The DPS-10.5 is shipped with the Standby/On button

 

in the On position (

 

 

). When the power cord is con-

 

 

 

 

 

nected for the very first time, the DPS-10.5 will go on

Connect the IR emitter to the DPS-10.5’s IR OUT, and place the IR emitter in front of the other AV component’s remote control sensor (usually located on its front panel), as shown below. See the instructions supplied with the IR emitter.
