Troubleshooting

Use this chart to help you solve daily operational problems. If there is any problem you cannot solve, contact your JVC service center.

PROBLEM	POSSIBLE CAUSE	SOLUTION
The display does not light up	The power cord is not plugged in	Plug the power cord into an AC outlet
	or the POWER switch is pressed	and press POWER to set it in the _ON
	to set in the ÑOFF position	position
No sound from speakers	Speaker signal cables are not	Check speaker wiring and
	connected	reconnect if necessary
	The SPEAKERS 1 and 2 are not	Press SPEAKERS 1 and 2 correctly
	set correctly
	An incorrect source is selected	Select the correct source
Sound from one speaker only	Speaker signal cables are not	Check speaker wiring and reconnect if
	connected properly	necessary
	The balance is set to one extreme	Adjust the balance properly (see page
		12)
Howling during record	Your turntable is too close to	Move speakers away from the turntable
playing	speakers
Remote control does not	There is an obstruction in front of	Remove the obstruction
work	the remote sensor on the

	Batteries are weak	Replace batteries
