Marks

For HDD, DVD-RAM and DVD-RW/-R (VR mode)

0Marks can be set or deleted during playback.

0They are automatically inserted if the audio is switched from monaural or bilingual broadcast to stereo broadcast during recording.

0ACHAPTERB on the Editing

screen can also be used to insert marks. [ P75]

For DVD-RW/-R (Video mode)

0Marks are automatically inserted approximately every 5 minutes during recording.

The marks will remain even after finalising.

The following buttons can be used during playback.

Playback	0	Starts playback.
	0 Stops playback and displays the broadcast screen.
Stop	0	Memorises the point where playback stops.
		(Setup Menu ARESUMEB [ P99] H)
Pause	0	Pauses playback and displays a still image.
	0	Functions during playback.
	HDD
		• Each press of the button switches the playback
Reverse		speed in the order of FWD1 - FWD5.
		• When not recording, pressing N once
Search/
		activates playback at 1.5x speed with sound.
Forward
		• Press O once to reverse playback.
Search
	DVD
		• Each press of the button switches the playback
		speed in the order of FWD1 - FWD4.
		• Press O once to reverse playback.
	0	Functions during pause.
Frame-By-		• Each press of the button advances or reverses
		one frame at a time (frame-by-frame playback).
Frame/
		• Pressing down for 2 or more seconds
Slow
		activates slow motion playback. Each press
Motion
		of the button changes the playback speed to
Playback
		one of 3 stages in the order of 1/16, 1/4 and
		1/2 times the original.
	0	Moves to the chapter position (mark).
Skip	0	Marks can be added during playback using
		MEMO/MARK. See AMarkB below.
	0	Jumps according to the selected time interval
Jump		and resumes playback. (Setup Menu AJUMP
		TIMEB [ P101] Z)
	0	Functions when the chapter (mark) is not set.
Skip	0	Skips forward for approximately 30 seconds
		and resumes playback.
Search		Pressing repeatedly skips forward continuously
		as many times as pressed.
One	0	Skips back for approximately 7 seconds and
		resumes playback.
Touch
		Pressing repeatedly skips back continuously as
Replay
		many times as pressed.
	0	Inserts mark at the desired skip position.
		• To insert marks: Press at desired positions
Mark		during playback. (Screen display: MARK)
		• To delete marks: While in pause mode, press
		after using skip buttons to locate the marks to
		be deleted. (Screen Display: MARK )

It is possible to switch between the elapsed time/disc remaining time/programme remaining time display of each programme by pressing DISPLAY.
