Relief Recording

A programme that is set for timer recording on the DVD will be recorded to the HDD in the following instances. The recording mode will revert to the mode previously set.

In the case of JUST mode, the recording will be in XP mode.

0Timer recording is not possible during editing.

0If a copy prohibited programme is received at the start of timer recording or during recording, recording will be paused. Recording starts again when a recordable programme is received. (For DVD only. For HDD, a black image is displayed.)

0With calendar timer programming, the starting portion of the programme may not be recorded. In addition, if the stop time of the previous timer recording coincides with the start time of the next programme, the last part of the previous programme may not be recorded.

0The programme listing data download is given priority from 03:00 to 04:30, and VPS/PDC recording cannot be performed properly. Set AVPS/PDCB to AOFFB if performing timer recording at this time.

Dubbing and timer recording priority

If a dubbing that has been set coincides with a timer recording, a warning will be displayed.

0To prioritise dubbing

Select AEXECUTEB to execute dubbing. Timer recording will not be performed. However, if the dubbing ends before the timer recording end time is reached, timer recording will be performed from the time where dubbing stops.

0To prioritise timer recording

Select ACANCELB, then press DUBBING. Dubbing will not be performed.

0If the warning screen remain displayed, neither will be performed.
