Express Timer Programing
●Remember,the clock must be set before you can program the
timer.
●Loada cassette with the record safety tab intact. The recorder
turnson, and the counter is reset,automatically.
●Selectthe appropriate colour system with “PAL/MESECAM” and
“NTSC”in Function settings.
APressPROG on the remote control toaccess the G-CODE
screen,then press START+/–.
BPressSTART+/–,STOP+/–,DATE+/ –
orPR+/– repeatedly to enter the start
time,stop time, date or channel.
●Pressand hold START+/– or
STOP+/–to increase the time in
30-minuteintervals.
●Toset the tape speed, press SP/LP/
EP(p).
●Totimer-record daily (Monday–Friday)or weekly serials,
pressDAI LY orWEEKLY.Pressing the button again makes the
“DAILY”or “WEEKLY”display disappear.
Atthe programme check screen...
Whenthe weekly serials are programmed, a day of the week
appears.When the daily serials are programmed, “DAILY”
appears.
CPressOK or PROG.
●If“PROGRAM OVERLAPPED” appears, see “Program
overlapwarning display”.
DPress#. The recorder turns off automatically and “#”is
displayedon the display panel.
NOTE:
●Ifthe tape reaches its end during timer recording, the recording
stopsand “#”, “䡬”and“$”on the front display panel blink.
To use the recorder while it is intimer recording standby mode
Press#, then press 1. After you use the recorder, press #again
toput the recorder into timer recording standby mode.
Checking, canceling or changingprogram settings
ADisengagetimer
Press#, then press 1.
●When“AUTO TIMER” is set to “ON”, you do not have to press
#.
BAccessProgram Check screen
Press".
CAccess Program screen
Press"again. Each time you press ",
thenext program’s Program screen
appears.
DCancelor change program setting
Tocancel a program, press &when the Program screen youdo
notwant is shown.
Tochange a program, press the appropriate button: START+/–,
STOP+/–,DATE+/–,PR+/–, and/or SP/LP/EP (p) when the
Programscreen on which you want to make changes is shown.
EReturn to normal screen
Press"repeatedly until no Program screen is shown.
FReengagetimer recording standby mode
Press#. The recorder turns off automatically and “#”isdisplayed
onthe display panel.
●When“AUTO TIMER” is set to “ON”, the timer recording
standbymode automatically resumes when you turn off the
recorder.
Program overlap warning display
If“PROGRAM OVERLAPPED” appears, you have another
programoverlapping the program you have just made.The
ProgramCheck screen appears and conflicting programs will start
blinking.
Example:
Program1 (you have just made) and Progr am4 overlap each
other.
ASelect program to modify
Pressrt, then press e.
●Youcan only select one of the
overlappingprograms.
●Ifyou do not mind this overlap, press
PROGto finish the timer program
setting.The program starting earlier or
programwith the lower program number will be recorded.
BCancelor change program setting
Tocancel a program, press &when the
Programscreen you do not want is shown.
Tochange a program, press the
appropriatebutton: START+/–,STOP+/–,
DATE+/– ,PR+/–,and/orSP/LP/EP (p)
whenthe Program screen on which you
wantto make changes is shown, then press OK.
●Ifthe overlap is not yet solved, the conflicting programs will be
shownon the Program check screen. Repeat the above steps
again.
