G-CODETimer Programming

Before performing G-CODETimer Programming:

●Be sure to read "G-CODESystem Setup" (☞ pg. 24).

●Insert a cassette with the safety tab in place. The recorder will come on automatically.

●Turn on the TV and select the VIDEO channel (or AV mode).

●Select the appropriate colour system by pressing the COLOUR SYSTEM button (☞ pg. 40).

COLOUR SYSTEM

With the G-CODEsystem , timer programming is greatly simplified because each TV programme has a corresponding code number which your recorder is able to recognise.

ACCESS G-CODE SCREEN

1	Press PROG.	G-CODE
		[0 – 9] =
		[+/–] : EXPRESS PROGRAMING
		[PROG] : EXIT
	ENTER G-CODE NUMBER
	Press the NUMBER keys to	G-CODE
	enter the G-CODEnumber
2 of a programme you wish		1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
	to record.
	● If you make a mistake,	[0 – 9] =
	press CANCEL and input
		[CANCEL] : DELETE
	the correct number.	[PROG] : EXIT

Make sure the channel position number you wish to record is displayed; if not, see "G-CODESystem Setup" on page 24 and set the Guide Program number for that G-CODEnumber correctly.

● If the number you entered is invalid, "ERROR" appears

on the screen. Press CANCEL and input a valid G-CODE

number.

● If the "G-CODE SET-UP" screen appears, see
