Editing Using Another VCR

connect up Connect the player’s 21-pin SCART connector to the recorder’s 21-pin SCART connector as illustrated.

AWhen using your VCR as the player ...

... connect its AV1 (L-1) IN/OUT connector to another VCR.

BWhen using your VCR as the recorder ...

... connect its AV2 (L-2) IN/DECODER or AV1 (L-1) IN/OUT connector to another VCR.

set vcr’s input mode The recording VCR mode must be set to AUX. If this VCR is the recorder, press AUX and/or PR to select L-1(if you’ve used the AV1 (L-1) IN/OUT connector) or L-2(if you’ve used the AV2 (L-2) IN/DECODER connector). If this VCR is the player, set O.S.D. to OFF. ( pg. 55)

When using the AV2 (L-2) IN/DECODER connector, set L-2 SELECT to the appropriate mode. ( pg. 51)

set edit mode See Picture Control on page 33.

start source vcr Engage its PLAY mode.

start recording vcr Engage its RECORD mode.

NOTES:

All necessary cables can be obtained from your dealer.

For Y/C signal input/output, be sure to use a 21-pin SCART cable that is compatible with the Y/C signal.

When you set PICTURE CONTROL to EDIT to dub tapes ( pg. 33), be sure to select AUTO (or NORM when B.E.S.T. is set to OFF) after you finish dubbing the tapes.

If you are using another VCR with S-Video and Audio output connectors, You can use you VCR as the recorder using an optional S-Video cable and audio cable. Connect its front panel S-VIDEOand AUDIO input connectors to the source VCR’s S-Video and Audio output connectors. Then, set the VCR’s input mode to S-1.
